In a bizarre partnership that defies usual predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized release, "An unusual confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome changes echo through the shadows." The plot introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden group.

The mission focuses on "strange experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Additional Content

Players who finish the mission will receive an exclusive katana in addition to numerous objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This update also brings the game's latest free story content, titled "The Enigma."
